Thanks to what Ty Lee told her 8)

Why would I disappear? She vanished from my world, so I vanished from hers? But they're not supposed to be connected; things aren't supposed to affect each other like that.

This is wrong.

... Do any of you even make plans for what would happen if you or one of your... one of your associates disappeared? Or do you just ignore the fact that it could happen?
attorneyatlol: (wait... i don't get it.)

What? Even the good ones?
attorneyatlol: (Hmm...)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-17 03:30 am (UTC)(link)
You know... Like happiness?

happiness is not something Azula feels much 8|

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 03:34 am (UTC)(link)
... I don't need people to be happy.
attorneyatlol: (well fuck)

Yeah, Phoenix can tell. 8| also, strikes = not there

Of course. You're a bucket of sunshine all on your own. Alright... Well, what about something like love?

sob at least she's ~content~ sometimes XD

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 03:43 am (UTC)(link)
Why?
attorneyatlol: (A-BUH?)

FUNNY. THAT'S WHAT EDGEWORTH SAYS A LOT.

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-17 03:44 am (UTC)(link)
What do you mean 'why'?
attorneyatlol: (You gotta be kidding me.)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-17 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Well... Why not?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
All people do is whine about it.
attorneyatlol: (Hmm...)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-17 04:00 am (UTC)(link)
I suppose it depends on the situation, but not everybody does... Usually it makes people feel pretty good.
attorneyatlol: (pffft)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-17 04:03 am (UTC)(link)
...I take it you disagree?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-17 04:04 am (UTC)(link)
It's just an emotion. It can be replicated.
attorneyatlol: (wait... i don't get it.)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-18 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
Replicated? You mean faked?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-18 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
No, I mean replicated. Reproduced. To use your example, you can just find something else that makes you feel the same way that "love" would.
attorneyatlol: (Hmmmmm...)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-18 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
It's not that easy...
attorneyatlol: (Neutral)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-18 04:11 am (UTC)(link)
Because for most people, love is unique. I mean, sure, you can feel it several times throughout your life, but it's going to be different every time.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-18 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Only "several" times? I thought it was common for people to have a lot of people that they love.
attorneyatlol: (Hmm...)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-18 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
Well... That's what I meant. Several is a lot, isn't it?

Semantics aside, though... My point still stands. No matter how many people you love, it's always going to be different.
attorneyatlol: (well fuck)

[personal profile] attorneyatlol 2009-11-18 05:28 am (UTC)(link)
Well, it is to me.

Because it just... is. Love is inspired by the things you care about, and chances are the reasons you care about each thing are going to be unique among themselves. Not only that, but love rarely stops when the object of your affection disappears. There could be a hundred other people or possessions you care about, but it's hard--if not impossible--to replace what was lost.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-18 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
... That's why you should only "love" things that can't disappear.
