{FAILED LOCK FROM LARSA}

Why would someone give me gifts and want to go places with me when he very well knows that I'm not exactly found of him? Especially considering how, despite what he says, it's been clear that he's not very fond of me, either?

This is why I hate people.

... I'm sorry, what? All I did was say it.

I wasn't aware bringing a country's name up in conversation was offensive. All I said was that you never seemed to doubt that people there liked you.

Fine.

I still don't think I've ever seen Larsa speak badly of you just from watching the community.

He does in our conversations. He's condescending, he's been saying for years that I'm a horrible ruler, and now that he's really pushing this "crush" he acts like I'm a porceline doll that can neither protect nor defend myself.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
... It's pretty normal to want to protect someone you have a crush on. Even if they don't need it.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:34 am (UTC)(link)
It's insulting. As was when he tried to brush off all the horrible things he'd said in the past as "just a joke".

He may be acting tolerable now, but it won't last. It never does.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Is it possible he really didn't mean them? Or at least that he wishes he hadn't said them now?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:39 am (UTC)(link)
That doesn't mean he can brush them off as jokes.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:41 am (UTC)(link)
Well, yes, if that's what he said than that was definitely not a good way to handle it.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:44 am (UTC)(link)
[kind of thankful she ignored that "if"]

But bad judgment aside, do you really have a reason to believe he doesn't like you?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:45 am (UTC)(link)
[fffff he really had said it too; SILLY LARSA]

Yes.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:46 am (UTC)(link)
... "Doesn't approve of your methods" isn't the same as "doesn't like you," you know.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:50 am (UTC)(link)
All right, I'll bite - why do you think he doesn't like you?

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:52 am (UTC)(link)
Again, you say that about far too many people for it to really be taken seriously. And you two have been talking to each other since you've both been here, I think.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:53 am (UTC)(link)
Why shouldn't it be taken seriously? It's true. People have no right to judge me if they don't know me, and talking doesn't constitute knowing.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 12:59 am (UTC)(link)
What, they can't work things out for themselves? You can learn a lot about someone from what they don't say.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
Trust me, when people try to work things out for themselves, people get it wrong all the time.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
That mostly depends on how good they are at it.
