{FAILED LOCK FROM LARSA}

Why would someone give me gifts and want to go places with me when he very well knows that I'm not exactly found of him? Especially considering how, despite what he says, it's been clear that he's not very fond of me, either?

This is why I hate people.

Again, you say that about far too many people for it to really be taken seriously. And you two have been talking to each other since you've both been here, I think.

Why shouldn't it be taken seriously? It's true. People have no right to judge me if they don't know me, and talking doesn't constitute knowing.

What, they can't work things out for themselves? You can learn a lot about someone from what they don't say.

Trust me, when people try to work things out for themselves, people get it wrong all the time.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:01 am (UTC)(link)
That mostly depends on how good they are at it.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:03 am (UTC)(link)
I've only met a couple people who definitely are. There might be others, but they don't voice it. I've noticed that the people who do are almost always the ones who get it wrong, but still loudly insist that they were right.

Probably. It's a lot easier to learn about someone if you're good at staying quiet. Especially if that means they don't know how much they're giving away.

I expect you probably know a few. Most governments find that sort of thing useful.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:08 am (UTC)(link)
I don't want to talk about it.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:09 am (UTC)(link)
Good.

And I don't think everyone but Lisa hates me.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:11 am (UTC)(link)
I did correct myself there, but I think I hit a sore spot and you were a little preoccupied. In any case it was a stupid generalization both times.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:12 am (UTC)(link)
The Doctor-- the older one-- didn't hate me, and he wasn't from the Fire Nation. Lilith doesn't hate me.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:15 am (UTC)(link)
I did say both times were stupid generalizations, and hate was probably the wrong word anyway. Though I meant that you have a tendency to assume people dislike you until proven otherwise.

It's always seemed to me like you assume they're hostile.

[identity profile] unluckychimera.livejournal.com 2010-08-22 01:26 am (UTC)(link)
Maybe I'm mistaking that for you being generally hostile to people you don't know well.

Clearly you don't read very many of my conversations.
