(no subject)

We've been getting gifts delivered to the palace all week now-- even more so than usual, because nobody is coming for a celebration themselves. It's mostly artwork or heirlooms; they're never personal, obviously. Yesterday we received an antique vase that looks good in the portrait hall, but other than that, nothing has been all that interesting or of note.

I'll be off-world, and I'll be going out to a spa with someone in the afternoon, but other than that I have nothing planned. It'll seem odd for my birthday to just be like any other day, especially since it's my sixteenth.

Is this what it's like for commoners?

If Karen knew, she'd intentionally play this up to watch Azula's reaction

Your phrasing made it sound like you didn't think of that as special.

ahaha

My phrasing made it sound like that isn't what I'm used to.

For your birthday, not in general.
oceanicbutterfly: (wtf)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2009-09-18 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
...that I misunderstood because of how you phrased what you said?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-09-18 11:21 pm (UTC)(link)
No, you misunderstood because you didn't read the post properly. There's nothing wrong with how I phrased it.
oceanicbutterfly: (argh)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2009-09-18 11:40 pm (UTC)(link)
I didn't say there was, but I guess everything has to be an argument with you, doesn't it?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-09-18 11:41 pm (UTC)(link)
You insinuated that it was poorly phrased.

...fine, sure, whatever.

... What's wrong with you today?

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2009-09-19 03:48 am (UTC)(link)
Nothing that I... know about...

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
You're not acting childish and bratty.
oceanicbutterfly: (glare)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2009-09-19 03:57 am (UTC)(link)
I'm acting normal.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 04:02 am (UTC)(link)
Not normal for you. You haven't said anything ridiculous like "Who would go to a spa with you?" or "You think this birthday is going to be odd? You are odd".
oceanicbutterfly: (o rly?)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2009-09-19 04:05 am (UTC)(link)
I already know who would go to a spa with you, and that second thing is really a stretch.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 04:09 am (UTC)(link)
I doubt you do.

It's not a stretch from the sort of idiotic things you've been saying lately. I'll give you this (http://peoplesprincess.livejournal.com/92006.html?thread=8218214#t8218214) as an example.

Dr. Cuddy comes to mind.

The difference between this post and that one is that this one has content.

"Yesterday was ridiculous" isn't much of a post.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-09-19 05:18 pm (UTC)(link)
It was an accurate one.
