Can cars on most Earths fly? I never observed that phenomenon when I was in New Jersey.

OOC: lol reference.

The world I was staying on, of course. That's what I said in my original entry.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-10 08:49 pm (UTC)(link)
No. I doubt Cuddy-sensei's world has flying cars.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-10 08:57 pm (UTC)(link)
How do you know for sure?

Why do you call her that? She's not Japanese.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-10 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)
Do you consider airplanes flying cars?

But I am. It's what we call doctors and lawyers in my country.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-10 09:06 pm (UTC)(link)
"Airplanes"?

So what? The suffix "-hime" apparently means "princess" in Japanese, but I never accepted its use when I was still a princess.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-10 09:08 pm (UTC)(link)
They're the closest thing we have to flying cars.

... do you have something against my native language?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-10 09:12 pm (UTC)(link)
Are they common? I don't think Dr. Cuddy owned one.

I have something against being referred to by titles that aren't my own, even if they do mean the same thing.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-10 09:13 pm (UTC)(link)
They're pretty common. But they're not usually owned privately.

You never complain about being called Azu-baka!

... I totally responded to this WTF

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-10 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Are they commercial- or government-owned?

That's because that would only encourage you. I know how people like you operate; ignoring you just makes you lose steam.

XD

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-10 11:44 pm (UTC)(link)
It depends.

And yet you complain about being called Azula-hime when it's far more respectful and closer to your title than Azu-baka will ever be.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-10 11:46 pm (UTC)(link)
On what?

Most of the people who called me "Azula-hime" were just misinformed, not looking to start trouble.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-11 01:56 am (UTC)(link)
On what the planes are used for.

I don't get it. You don't complain about Azu-baka, but you complain about Azula-hime. That's like asking people not to call you princess.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 02:44 am (UTC)(link)
What else would they be used for besides shipping and transport?

No, it's like asking people to call me princess rather than Azula-hime. They mean the same thing, but they aren't the same thing.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-11 02:56 am (UTC)(link)
Shipping and transport are two different things.

They are the same thing!

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
I realize that. You didn't answer my question.

They are two different words that mean the same thing.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-11 03:00 am (UTC)(link)
That's pretty much what they're used for. Planes are usually commercially owned, but the government owns some of them for shipping purposes.

Your logic is failing here, Azu-baka.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 03:05 am (UTC)(link)
Are they ever used for travel?

It isn't; I'm just particular.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-11 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Transportation and travel are the same thing.

It makes you look ignorant.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 03:11 am (UTC)(link)
I never specified that I meant the transportation of people, rather than just goods.

If I clarify that I know what "-hime" means? It doesn't.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-11 03:39 am (UTC)(link)
Commercial businesses own fleets of airplanes to transport people from place to place. It's usually quicker than traveling by car.

Yes, it does, because it's the same thing.

You're being deliberately difficult.

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-11 03:46 am (UTC)(link)
For once, you are, not me.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-08-11 03:49 am (UTC)(link)
You are completely failing to understand the cultural differences at work here. Why should I have to adjust to something that's merely a translation of my title, just because you're too lazy to use it the way it's used on my world?

[personal profile] pandorabox 2009-08-11 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
And why should I have to adjust by using a language other than my native one when I prefer to use Japanese?
