People are difficult. I doubt any of you can protest that.

The first is not a strength, it's a flaw. The second is very very true, tyrannies and monarchies never last long. The third is not an exaggeration. And the fourth is also true.

Persistent would have been a compliment. "Stubborn", however, is an insult. It's like the difference between confidence and arrogance. Persistence indicates that you are unmovable about something worthwhile; stubbornness just means that you're cowpig-headed for no particular reason.

I don't mind being called stubborn or obstinate! If I wanna take it as a compliment, I will!
