[when Azula showed up on the Ark, she was very, very angry and trying very, very hard to hide it]

[it was obvious why he had done it, really-- he thought that he had more of a right to protect Lilith than she did, just like he thought he and Seth and Cain were more deserving of her love]

[he was wrong on all accounts, and she wanted to tell him that SO MUCH-- she wanted to take him by the collar and yell that he was horrible for putting his own jealousy above Lilith's desires (because she couldn't have wanted to come here; of course she wouldn't want to leave)]

[instead, she just completely ignored him; she didn't even look at him as she hurried to Lilith's side]

Are you all right?

[she knew Abel wouldn't have hurt her, at least not on purpose-- she viewed him as more negligent than malicious]

[Lilith nods.] Of course Azula. Are you? You seem upset.

[Though, Abel isn't okay. For a moment, Abel - no 02 - is shocked that someone other than Tyki knows about this place. There's the instinct to hide himself for what he is, coupled with distress that Azula knows of this place.]

It's alright. [Lilith glances at Abel and back to Azula.] Azula how did you know Abel and I were here?

[He's still so confused. How does Azula know of this place of all places? How does she -- he could live with the fact that she knew of Seth and of Cain, but even this?

He doesn't say anything, though Lilith would know that he was biting his tongue. 02 reluctantly deactivates and Abel moves to go to the more remote areas of the ship. He really doesn't want to hurt Azula's feelings, but at the same time, he isn't going to get into an argument with her.

His heart is selfish, he's waited an eternity to be with Lilith (no, he had no idea that he'd ever see her again), but at the same time. This place where they last saw each other and then were reunited was their own and their own only. He hates feeling like that spoiled child so many centuries ago. He was just going to go fix things.]

[Lilith watches Abel go. She doesn't respond to Azula yet. Abel is her soulmate and she knows his heart all too well. Once he's gone, Lilith speaks.]

Azula I know what Abel did was rash but, I was willing to go. I cannot hurt anyone here. This was a practical decision on his part and my own.
