... So I'm not really dying. The doctors came in and told me that it was a false alarm this morning, and when Lisa woke up again, she didn't even remember what had happened. She seemed to think that I was in the hospital because I'd had a particularly nasty relapse of my fever from earlier in the month, and others corroborated her story.

The community did this, didn't it. Again.

When in doubt? Yes. The community always does.

It must have affected my thinking too, because I didn't even consider the possibility at the time.

Don't most of the viruses affect our thinking in some way? Especially when false memories are involved.

It seems like most have that I've seen.

It's irritating.

Even ones that don't seem like they would often do in some small way. This past virus made me think that I was dying, but it also removed any doubt that I would normally have had. Given how long I've been here, you'd think my first thought would be "this might be a virus". The fact that I didn't consider the possibility wasn't stupidity on my part, it was community interference.

Clearly the community has found away around any savviness that might accrue.

Unfortunately.

Good to know there's nothing to be done except accept our fates.

I hate thinking of it like that.
