There's nothing wrong with the way I write.
Well, it's like... if you'd said "I plan to," it would just sound like you were planning on having a good time. "I plan to" sounds more like you're not taking a vacation but are going to go... blow someone up instead. Like, there should be thunderbolts and lightning when you say it lie that.
