Isn't Christmas over a month away? Why is everyone talking about it already?

It's all over Earth, too. I never bothered to ask last year; is it a national or a worldwide holiday?

It's not on my world.

I don't remember anything particularly special about it.

Veh, well it's all over the world here.

It's special because it's when everybody gets together and is nice to each other and gives gifts and the food's really great and the decorations are nice and there's colors and bright lights everywhere!

Veh, your loss then. That's part of why Christmas is so nice!

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 09:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It doesn't sound so different from our festivals.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 09:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Celebrations of war victories, mostly. Some have to do with the seasons, like the Fire Lily Festivals in August.

The seasonal festivals idea sounds really nice. We don't really have those so much anymore here.

They kind of fell out of practice when the old religions did. Like, Grandpa Roman Empire celebrated them, but I never have.

... You countries are so bizarre.

[identity profile] gluttonforpasta.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 09:56 pm (UTC)(link)
Veh, this is just how we are. Your country sounds more like how things used to be, a little.

[identity profile] gluttonforpasta.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't know. But I like how things are here now.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 10:00 pm (UTC)(link)
That's because you have nothing superior to compare it to.

[identity profile] gluttonforpasta.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
Veh, I've been around long enough to know a lot of different times, just not those times. I liked the Renaissance the best. And I don't know what your country's like so I can't say if it's better or worse or not.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 10:02 pm (UTC)(link)
The Fire Nation is better than everything.

[identity profile] gluttonforpasta.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing. I figured if you were just gonna glare, I'd do something silly.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
This isn't glaring. It's a stern expression.

[identity profile] gluttonforpasta.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 10:09 pm (UTC)(link)
Okay. Well, if you're gonna just look stern, then I'll post something silly.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2009-11-14 10:10 pm (UTC)(link)
That's an idiotic way of looking at things.
