I have to learn how to play poker.

If it actually happens, of course. You people go on and on about how I don't know how to be polite, but at least I know not to try hosting a gathering somewhere without asking the owner's permission. It's incredibly inconsiderate.

I'll be watching my tea. If anyone tries to get smart and spike it with anything, we'll have more than words.

I would have to disagree. Anything where you make enough money to live while putting forth some sort of effort can be a profession, really.

Professions are respectable, and are actually worth something to society.

Well, who'se to say it isn't worth something to society? They bring entertainment to those who watch them, they encourage other people to try and be as good at the game as they are...
