It has become readily apparent that hospitals are even more dull when you're not the one admitted. The war effort is decidedly uneventful at the moment, I'm not a fan of television, and there's only so many books one can read before even that becomes boring.

You obviously have not found the proper books to entertain one's self with.

I disagree. Almost anything can get dull if you spend too long on it.

Have you no other activities to divert your interests with?

I'm at a hospital. What do you think?

I go home for a few hours each day to train, but that's all.

If the individual is conscious, there are more activities you could entertain both of your selves with. In my own experience, diversions such as chess prove both challenging and entertaining.

I'm not looking after her well-being; she's perfectly fine, if asleep at the moment.

I've heard of chess. It sounds similar to a strategy game we have on my world.

Are you particularly skilled at them?

I am, actually.

I would hope a suggestion of such an activity will help alleviate your boredom, in that event.

My friend, however, isn't very fond of the game, nor is she particularly good at it.

A pity. If only you knew of other individuals who were skilled at such diversions, or those whom would appreciate a talented opponent.

It was hardly fervent, and I wasn't requesting that anyone actually come here.

Considering your personality as I understand it, your request for anyone to amuse your person would suggest desperation indeed.

There are many individuals from the community who appear to be located upon Gaia. No-one would have to put forth an effort to amuse you. Not that their effort is what concerns you.

Then you have judged me wrong.

I am looking for amusement over this journal, and nothing further.
