For someone who's saying that you can't make blanket statements, that was a large one just then.

Hardly. Expansion is a valid reason for conquering other countries, but I never said that there weren't situations where it would be futile, or even unjustified.

In this situation, I'd say that this attempt is both.

Haven't I already told you that your opinion is biased?

In a war, it's impossible not to be.

Not if you're uninvolved.

Even so, you're likely to have an opinion that's more in favour of one side than the other!

And if you actually understand the situation, that opinion is very likely to be the correct one.

Unfortunately, very few people are able to understand everything about the situation when a war is actually being fought.

So if you really want to know who's in the right, then find someone off-world to assess the situation for you.

I dare say that those on worlds similar to mine but in the future have already done so, more than once.
