So we hadn't strayed far from the original subject after all.

This has nothing to do with the original subject.

The original subject was whether being with you made one unfortunate.

That depends on the person.

What depends on the person is exactly how unfortunate they are.

And as I made very clear earlier, some aren't unfortunate at all.

Those are the most unfortunate of all. They don't even know about the Azula-free life they've missed out on.

They're not missing out on anything.
