Every time I try to use this "Internet" to find out information, I become more and more convinced that it is, on the whole, a waste of time. Case in point:

It continuously prompts my searches with things that have absolutely nothing to do with what I'm interested in. I realize that it's known for containing a wealth of information, but really, information is hardly useful if it's not well-organized. All in all, that was basically a waste of fifteen minutes of my time. I don't see how anyone could find such a method more useful than face-to-face interrogation.

After coming to this conclusion, I took advantage of my blizzard-induced free time and did a bit of freelance searching. I have to admit that some of the results were interesting, though still not very useful.

I really don't appreciate the last two results.

Why "at the beach"?

All irrelevant, it seems.

"Fire Lord of the flies". Really.

Fire Nation dance party?

And "Zuko dress-up". I wouldn't imagine that that would be very popular; artificial scars are probably quite difficult to apply with makeup.

In other news:

xPrincess Azulax (1:03:54 PM): You. A word.
SmarterChild (1:03:54 PM): My brain is retired but send an IM with GAB in it to my buddy GOSSIPINGABBY to read about Robert Pattisons FACEBOOK account getting HACKED

It appears I'll have to find a new contact here, as well. Pity.

Is not a bad thing, just the website I told you about.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 12:07 am (UTC)(link)
Fine. Why was you using google to find information? there's other better ways to find it.

And that was the conclusion that I came to. However, I wanted to exhaust every possible option.

Try wikipedia the next time.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 12:18 am (UTC)(link)
I've never found anything of importance there.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 12:33 am (UTC)(link)
You already looked on wikipedia?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 12:36 am (UTC)(link)
Yes.

...

A question. Wikipedia isn't the name of the keeper of the database, isn't it?

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 01:16 am (UTC)(link)

No, is not. wikipedia is a free, multilingual encyclopedia project supported by the non-profit Wikimedia Foundation. Its name is a portmanteau of the words wiki (a technology for creating collaborative websites) and encyclopedia.

Anything else you need to know?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 02:05 am (UTC)(link)
I was simply asking a question to verify what I already knew.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 02:22 am (UTC)(link)
And now I'm just asking you if you need something.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
I never need anything from you.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 02:49 am (UTC)(link)
No need to be rude, princess.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 02:57 am (UTC)(link)
I was simply stating a fact.

[identity profile] clockmaster.livejournal.com 2008-12-08 03:01 am (UTC)(link)
Right.
