When booking the hotel room, Azula had specifically requested one with a balcony. It was the one thing her room at home was missing, really- every so often she toyed with the idea of having one built, but in the end she always decided that it would ruin the look of the palace. Still, it was nice to spend some time in the evening air- a bit more chilly here than in the Fire Nation, but not intolerably so- watching the sunset, the emerging stars, and the unfamiliar cityscape that stretched out in front of her.
Sylar hadn't spoken up in a while. Perhaps he had given up; perhaps after this short vacation, she and Ty Lee could return home. Azula knew that it would be foolish to make such a decision now- after all, he could have any number of reasons for laying low- but she couldn't help but hope for such a desirable outcome. Vacations were all well and good every once in a while, but more permanent evacuations were much less enjoyable. This Sylar problem would have to be dealt with- one way or another.
There was no need to think about that now, though. This was the "vacation" part, after all; the part that had been planned before anything more dire had come up. She was here to enjoy herself; to relax. As if to punctuate that last thought, Azula leaned forward slightly, resting her elbows on the balcony railing. In the distance she could see what was probably the "Eiffel Tower" that had been described to her, lit up against the night sky.
Azula wasn't planning on admitting it to him, but Hakuba had been right- it was a very beautiful city.
