Hm. Paris is extremely lovely.

Interesting how they assume that everyone is familiar with this "baseball" game- though I suppose the person who wrote that wasn't taking any worlds other than their own into consideration. From the context, I'm assuming that this "getting to first base" idea is an important part of the game? Is it how you win?

Not that I'm really interested in the sport, of course; I suppose I'm just a bit curious.

OOC: ... I'm sorry. I saw that Writer's Block a couple of days ago and couldn't resist. :\

And what does that have to do with anything?

Your point?

...now I've forgotten.

I'm not making one.

Typical.

Regardless, if I were to use either use of the phrase at home, nobody would have the slightest idea what I was talking about.

Then why bring it up at all.

...now I remember. We were talking about the question, and I was saying that it probably made sense to most people for it to mean "first base" in the euphemistic sense.

What's your point?

...just making an observation. It's sad.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-24 11:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Not on my world.

Exactly what it sounds like.

No, it isn't.
oceanicbutterfly: (business)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-25 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
On your world, they wouldn't think of baseball either, so it doesn't matter.

So, nothing?

You're brother and sister. It's not right for things to have turned out the way they did.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 12:13 am (UTC)(link)
Precisely my point.

Oh, please. It's not like I have any sort of "bond" with the rest of my family.
oceanicbutterfly: (serious)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-25 01:00 am (UTC)(link)
...

But you aren't fighting them in a war.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Uncle fought at Zuko's side, for the most part- before he was captured and imprisoned, of course. I would expect mother to fight with him, too, but it looks as if she's abandoned him, as well.
oceanicbutterfly: (depressed)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-25 01:30 am (UTC)(link)
...That's not how it's supposed to be.

Families should love each other.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 01:42 am (UTC)(link)
I can't believe you're saying this to me. Of all people.

It doesn't matter who I'm saying it to!

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 01:52 am (UTC)(link)
Do I really look like the type for "family love"?
oceanicbutterfly: (you!)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-25 02:11 am (UTC)(link)
Nobody's family should be like that.
oceanicbutterfly: (thoughtful)

[personal profile] oceanicbutterfly 2008-10-25 02:50 am (UTC)(link)
...you just don't know how else it can be.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2008-10-25 02:51 am (UTC)(link)
Of course I do. I grew up around Mother and Zuko, after all.
