{VIDEO POST}

[hey DDD, here's Azula standing in front of the camera to show off her TOTALLY BADASS PRIEST UNIFORM GUYS OH MY GOD SHE LIKES IT SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE NOVICE DRESS YOU HAVE NO IDEA]

[and of course when she talks, she sounds quite pleased and proud of herself]

I've completed my training, I've graduated from the novice level, and I am now officially an AX Agent-- an elite soldier of the Vatican. I'll be working as an assistant bodyguard, but I'll also be sent on special assignments and missions-- of course, I can't divulge much information about those.

[she then turns more somber, directing a steady gaze at the camera]

Obviously, it's a dangerous job-- extremely dangerous, sometimes. I don't plan on dying, but it would be foolish not to make plans just in case. First of all, I need to speak to someone who would be able to show me how to make one of those private posts that unlock automatically if I don't log onto the community after a certain amount of time. I'll also be contacting a few of you individually, for various reasons.

{LOCKED TO ITSUKI}

I need you to do me a small favor.

{/LOCKED}

{LOCKED TO VRISKA}

You don't have to answer this if you don't want to, but the offer to take you out of there for a little while if you ever need it still stands-- because of that ridiculousness today, or your... lusus thing, or anything else.

And I'm sorry about Aradia being a jerk in that post.

{/LOCKED}

{LOCKED TO TAVROS}

What happened to you?

{/LOCKED}

{LOCKED TO DARK}

If something happens to me, I'll make sure that your gifted worldhopping feathers are returned to you. Either that, or I'll give them to Lilith, and she'll find a use for them.

{/LOCKED}

{LOCKED TO THE TENTH DOCTOR}

During... events last year, I asked you what you wanted done with the phone that your fifth regeneration gave me should anything happen to me. You indicated that it might be better off destroyed, to keep the technology from falling into the wrong sort of hands. I assume that still holds true?

Well, it makes sense they'd have a different name. Anything else that makes them different from the vampires of folklore?

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 04:14 am (UTC)(link)
I don't know. I don't know all that much about the vampires of folklore.
timey_wimey: ("Oh. Is that it?")

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-03 07:02 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, right. Well in that case, they're usually nocturnal, burn up on contact with sunlight, are allergic to holy water, and can only be killed by a wooden stake through the heart. Oh, and of course they're famous for having to live off of human blood. There's tons of stories about them by the time you get to the 21st century, though some of the latest ones are a little, well... different.

OH DOCTOR, HAVE YOU READ TWILIGHT

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 07:04 am (UTC)(link)
... There are similarities.
timey_wimey: (What you just said did not compute)

HE SOLDIERED ON THROUGH THE FIRST BOOK OUT OF CURIOSITY, AFTER THAT, NEVER AGAIN

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-03 07:08 am (UTC)(link)
And differences too then, I'd imagine.
timey_wimey: (Hello what's this?)

AN HOUR OF HIS LIFE THAT HE WILL NEVER GET BACK

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-03 07:12 am (UTC)(link)
Such as?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 07:14 am (UTC)(link)
I'm not sure how much is really supposed to be revealed, but I've never heard of them being allergic to anything. And they can be killed in different ways, but they're more durable than humans. Stronger, too.
timey_wimey: (why yes I am a dork)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-03 07:55 am (UTC)(link)
Ooo, that's fascinating. It makes sense they wouldn't be allergic to holy water, really. That sort of thing's a superstitious religious myth.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-07-03 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
And Methuselah were only called vampires because they reminded people of the myths, really. They're not the same.
timey_wimey: (The door to awesome. Let me show you it.)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-04 12:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Nah, didn't imagine they would be. You get the same thing in my home universe, people calling things other things because they act like the stories do. Like, for example, lupine wavelength haemovariforms, I ran into one of them once possessing a human being, what do you know, people were calling it a werewolf. Happens all the time.

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-07-04 03:47 pm (UTC)(link)
And what's a lupine wavelength haemovariform?

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-05 07:52 am (UTC)(link)
A sub-species from a planet light years away from Earth who can change shape into a wolfish creature depending on the phase of the moon. On their planet, that's every night cause their moon's always in the full, but on Earth that only happens about once a month, hence the werewolf myth. Their cells can infect other lifeforms through a bite or a scratch and cultivate themselves over years and years until the host becomes one of them too. 'Course, the host's mind usually goes years before that because the transfer of cells also transfers their mind as well, so it's like a complete body takeover.

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-07-06 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
... That's interesting. How did one get to Earth?
timey_wimey: (I'll just get my coat.)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-06 06:18 am (UTC)(link)
Crash-landed sometime in the 1600s. Happens more than you'd think, actually.

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-07-06 06:20 am (UTC)(link)
Was it because of the community?
timey_wimey: (The door to awesome. Let me show you it.)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-06 07:56 am (UTC)(link)
Hm? Oh no, not at all, this was before it even connected to my world in my timeline. Nah, my Earth just tends to attract aliens, it's been doing that since before it was even formed. Well, look at me, I'm living proof of that.
timey_wimey: ("And now we have to talk!")

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-07-07 08:14 am (UTC)(link)
For a bit, yeah. Hundreds of years ago from my own personal perspective, but by human standards it was only in the 1970s. There was a bit of trouble on my home planet, I kind of got banished to live on Earth for a bit at the end of it all, long story. But even apart from that, back when I was still travelling, I used to pop in on Earth's history all the time, it's one of my favourite planets.

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-07-08 04:12 am (UTC)(link)
Will you live there again in the future, do you think?
Edited 2011-07-08 04:12 (UTC)
timey_wimey: (How do you fight loneliness?)

[personal profile] timey_wimey 2011-08-07 12:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I dunno.

Maybe, if nothing else turns up in the end. I mean, it's somewhere I know well, and I suppose if there had to be another planet out there to call home...

[identity profile] emberandash.livejournal.com 2011-08-25 03:06 am (UTC)(link)
... I know what you mean.
timey_wimey: (TARDIS)

Family's a bit of an odd thing, isn't it?

[identity profile] peoplesprincess.livejournal.com 2011-09-02 03:43 pm (UTC)(link)
It is, but I like it.
