Father has informed me that he has found someone who looks to be a promising match for me. We'll be meeting with him and his family tomorrow to discuss possible proceedings.

I can think of an infinite number of things that I would rather do.

Not at all. The crown passes to the firstborn- and since Zuko was deemed unworthy, it will go to me. As it should be.

There has to be an exchange for something. The boy must be getting money if he is being forced to be with someone like you.

He'll be getting status and the honor of being the husband of the Fire Lord.

Marriage is the destroyer of Kingdoms and Empires; Troy, Greece, Egypt and Rome. They will be factions hoping to have him try and use your power for his goals.

His goals are my goals. If they turn out not to be, then the marriage will be terminated (or stopped before it actually begins). It's as simple as that.
