An Attempted Agni Kai with Death
Azula wasn't scared anymore. Everything was back to normal, her father had come back, and best of all, she was getting a chance to prove her bravery (not that she hadn't been brave before; she had had a perfectly good reason for hiding under Ty Lee's bed) by killing the one who had so foolishly thought that he could destroy the Fire Nation. That had been really stupid of him- everyone knew that the Fire Nation couldn't be destroyed; look how quickly and easily it had gone back to normal! Azula couldn't wait to see how easily this guy would be defeated without the aid of his stupid water walls and fireballs from the sky. In person, he could surely be easily disposed of, especially by the best firebender in the world. She wasn't going to tell her dad what she was doing, either- if she did, he might want to come and defeat his "killer" himself, and that wouldn't do. Azula had to prove her worth, and to do that, she had to duel her opponent all on her own. It was true that she had never fought in an Agni Kai before, but there was a first time for everything, right? It didn't look that hard, and after all, she was a prodigy.
Crawling out from under Ty Lee's bed, she quickly wrote her a note. ("To Ty Lee- I'm going to have an Agni Kai with the person who wrecked everything. Don't worry, I didn't tell him where you or Mai live, so he won't try to hurt you before I get him. He might try to hurt Zuko, but unfortunately that can't be helped.") She left as she had come (through the window) and made her way to a large, empty meadow a short distance from the palace- the same one where (though, in her current mental state, she didn't know it) she had fought Richard.
Completely calm and confident, Azula crossed to the middle of the field and waited.
OOC: lol shoddy writing; I wrote this in like five minutes.

Death stepped out of the air opposite Azula, about thirty paces away.
"WELL, I AM HERE." He called to her in his leaden voice, a lot lower now he had gone back to normal. He carried no weapon but wore a cloak of blackest night wrapped around his bones. "WHAT DO YOU PROPOSE?"

"An Agni Kai!" she shouted in her loudest voice. "Will you accept, or do I have to do this the hard way?"

"We fight to the death! That's it; no other rules." She started to walk backwards, getting into fighting stance as she did so.

"Ready!" she shouted, crouching down and- without further warning- shooting a fairly large-sized fire blast at him.

"You can't do that!" she yelled. "Agni Kais are only fought with firebending!"

Death raised a hand a gestured to the clouds, which started to blacken. He had never seen the point, he mused as he swirled up a sizeable storm, in the fighting of fire with fire. Water was so much more effective.

"You aren't fighting a proper Agni Kai! You can only use fire- nothing else!"

It seemed he needed to work on his humouring skills, it hadn't quite had the desired effect.

OOC: No harm done. :)

Death stood implacable, waiting for her to tire. She was by no means mature, she would not last much longer. He said nothing, as angering her would probably just make her last longer.

OOC: Gah, I hate it when that happens. D: And no problem.
