Pretty much the most noticeable thing about Azula's personality is that she's a bitch-- a huge bitch, with a side of rudeness, cruelty, sarcasm, and the occasional sadism. For the most part, she has no interest in gaining friends (other than the ones she already has) or making people like her personally; in fact, she doesn't seem to like very many people personally herself. To her, the vast majority of people are merely tools, there to be used and then discarded when they are no longer useful. She sees herself and her father as better than everyone else, and has an extreme sense of arrogance and self-worth. She is also prone to jealousy when people are able to do things that she can't. That said, she has no qualms about letting people do things for her-- as long as it's clear that she COULD do it herself if she wanted; being seen as weak or incompetent is one of her greatest fears. Another of those fears (ironically, due to her unpleasant personality) seems to be being alone or discarded herself. She holds a great deal of resentment towards her mother, who she felt hated her and abandoned her in favor of her brother. She craves her father's approval, and grows upset when she discovers that he plans to leave her behind in the capital while he goes and finishes off the war himself. And it is the perceived betrayal of her friends that finally brings her to her breaking point.
Her massive mental meltdown starts one fateful day at the Boiling Rock prison, when her best friend Mai allows a group of enemy rebels escape in order to save her boyfriend's life. Azula makes a move to attack Mai (who does draw a knife, but apparently only in defense), and her other best friend Ty Lee uses chiblocking to temporarily disable Azula's bending. Azula, being Azula, sees both of these acts as a personal betrayal and orders her two friends locked up, wildly declaring that she wished to never see either of their faces again. As time goes on, she becomes even more paranoid and prone to overreaction, and her ability to control and hide her emotions slips more and more as the last few episodes go on. By her last scene, she's completely broken down, hysterically screaming and crying about the loss of her throne and the perceived loss (or perhaps the real loss, if one or both of them didn't forgive her for throwing them in prison) of her friends. All in all, her personality likely stays largely the same; the way it manifests itself is what changes. She loses a great deal of her self-control, and her insecurities and fears are much more visible to those around her.

Maim/murder/death: Most likely nothing permanent.
Kissing: It's not at all likely that she'll let you get close enough, but if you have a death wish want to try, go for it.
Hugging: Chances are she won't exactly be pleased.
Badtouch: Get ready to start running.
Threadhopping: Sure, I'm completely fine with it as long as you don't hop into a locked/private conversation or meeting (unless your character would logically stumble upon the scene or you ask permission first).
Fourthwalling: There are a few cases in which I might grant permission, but in general, I'm going to say no. If you want to have your character fourth-wall her, though, please ask and I'll definitely consider it!
Backdating: I'll continue any old conversation/log, no matter how long its been since the last comment (in other words, if you dropped a thread two months ago and now want to continue it, go ahead and I'll reply!). The same goes for replying to old entries- though obviously, I'll backdate any responses. The only exception to this would be if you replied to an entry from before your character was in the game. In that case I'd probably delete the comment because it wouldn't be following continuity. D:
