He stretched out his arms the moment he felt the energy swell inside her body, and threw her into the air to avoid whatever attack she might be planning.

"Such a fierce voice, Princess," he said, jumping up a moment later and catching her cross-wise across his arms, "Perhaps we need to extinguish that fire a bit. It can't exist in a vacuum, right?"

He quickly pulled her head up...and locked his lips against hers.
